Lada Granta with code VAZ 2190 will replace the Lada Kalina and old Samara. Production started in mid of next year at the Avto VAZ factory in Togliatti with a variety of model options, such as sedans, hatchbacks, until the wagon. The price 6200 U.S. dollars per unit, or Rp 55.8 million per unit.

The old type will be shifted to the Izhevsk factory. The manufacturer states, the main focus of marketing Granta remain in Russia. However, do not cover the possibilities, these products will be supplied to Western Europe because of the demand.

Director of Avto VAZ Igor Komarov said Granta Lada  produced using the Kalina platform. "But with a security level better and more comfortable," says Igor.

Avto VAZ pursue ambitious target of selling 1.2 million units per year in 2020. Of that amount, 70 percent contributed by the three basic models, including low cost car and the car in the segment C. This year, the company set a production target of 571 000 units.
